An ink drawing of the extinct bird, the Tahitian Sandpiper [link]

The boat is carrying the rats which will be introduced to its habitat and eventually be responsible for its extinction.

There's a hush in the air, for we shall despair!

Your lines look so natural, the detail oh me oh my.

Beautiful, amazing what you can do with white and lines. Love the water and the palm trees.

so good ! your black and white work is just as strong as your colourwork. nice to see that.
I always thought colour was the most powerful, but actually it's not necessarily.
love the way you've drawn the palm trees

Thanks man! I really want to do more in black and white. I think it's harder to make work than it seems.

it is ! you really have to make sure the whole is balanced in terms of black and white fillings.
I think Mike Mignola is really good at that.

It also means you've got to master light which must be one of the hardest things to do. You can fake it a bit with different tones of colour, but with b&w there's no safety net. If you get it wrong it looks really bad.

The shading on the palms and the contrast between them and the sky — excellent.
