This was one of my responses to a project on Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis'. It is a prequel to the story that could perhaps be used as the prologue to a comic book adaptation of the book. I have portrayed some of the anxieties that Gregor expresses in one of his many internal monologues through the 'troubled dreams' he has on the fateful night that he became a bug. This mini comic ends with the first line of the book.

Ive read that book, a long time ago.
I remember the book made me feel lonely, and something about an apple that stuck in the bug's shield for the rest of his life.
To bad you diddn't draw the interior of his room, id like to see your interpretation.
